RECRUITINGStatewide patrol and highway safety.
The San Andreas State Troopers (SAST), along with the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, and the Los Santos Police Department makes up the executive Law Enforcement branch of San Andreas; together they ensure that the law is upheld and enforced as they all fall under the umbrella of the San Andreas State Police.
In 1958 the San Andreas State Troopers was Founded and has since become the primary law enforcement agency within the Jurastiction of San Andreas. It's focus was particularly on highway related patrol duties and being a supervisory team to help aid the operations of the LSPD and BCSO. Despite a strong presence for six decades, in the early 2010's the State went through a major funding crisis and to save money on Government spending the SAST was de-funded, and eventually dissolved by the SASP.
In 2024 The state recovered from previous years and was able to give the SASP more funding. this lead to SASP High command to elect to fund the SAST again and reinstate them as a Law Enforcement branch under the SASP umbrella. SACOR and SASP High Command collaborated to decide who to appoint as the Commissioner of the SAST and after some time Trooper James Bond l was appointed to be the Commissioner Of SASP. On 10/17/24 the San Andreas State Police as a whole moved to Vespucci Police Department and was located on the western side of Los Santos. The SAST had their own office area on level 3 and operated solely out of VPD for nearly a year. After that on 16/03/2026 The headquarters of the SAST was moved to the State Troopers Highway Police Department on Los Sanrtos Free Way near the diamond Casino.
